New country, new team, new track...

Despite these factors and minimal laps in during practice - rising sportscar driver Scott Andrews turned heads when he was third quickest in Free Practice 1, then going on to turning the fastest time in FP2.

"Monza is an amazing facility and a great race track with a very rich motor sport history. It' was a very cool feeling to be turning my first laps here. But I had a job at hand so you have to just treat it as any other race track and get the car sorted. The straights are long enough to let it all sink in though!" Andrews said after practice.

Scott's new teammate, Japan's Yoshimaru Mori, qualified the KEO Racing LMP3 in an All-Bronze qualifying managing 13th in a red flag hampered session.

Unfortunately the team would find themselves getting a flatbed back to the garage after heavy contact on lap one - which was no fault of Yoshi's who started the race.

"It was an unfortunate way to end what was looking like a promising weekend for us. That's racing though" Andrews concluded.
