Reigning US Formula F F1600 champion, Scott Andrews, American Sportscar Hall-Of-Famer and Daytona 24 hour winner, Randy Pobst and professional racing coach Anthony Magagnoli won in Round 1 of the American Endurance Series driving for FP-WERKE BMW team.

Pobst raced the BMW to an early lead from the front row starting position, and the team did not look back from there.

All 3 had successful stints, including Andrews breaking the existing lap record for the BMW's specific class & setting fastest race lap along the way.

"Each pit stop we were tuning the car as we didn't get a whole lot of testing prior to the race. We all gelled well as a team, and the car was pretty on it straight off the trailer" Andrews said post race.

"It was a pleasure sharing the seat with two guys who clearly know what they're doing. Randy is a real hero around here so walking down pit lane with him was a bit of fun!"

"To set fastest lap and be the fastest on the team was obviously an added bonus but given it is an endurance race stats like that don't really matter; it's being there at the end which we were!"

Andrews crossed the line ahead of the two Sahleen's Porsche Caymens.

"Big thanks to everyone here for their hard work! It was a fun event and I hope to be invited to another one!"
